Sit at a team table and contribute to WordPress directly \u2014 translation, code, design, support, documentation, accessibility, and more. You don&#039;t need to know PHP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two ways to participate<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In person or remote<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In person at the venue<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Phoenix Convention Center. Includes lunch and snacks. Bring a laptop and a charger. Power and Wi-Fi at every table.Doors open at 8:30 AM. Opening remarks at 9 AM. Teams break off shortly after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Remote via Slack<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Join the #contributor-day channel in the Make WordPress Slack. Each team has a sub-channel and a designated lead facilitating.Welcome ceremony on Slack at 9 AM MST. Group photo (virtual) at 11:30 AM. Team work blocks throughout the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In-person schedule<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sunday at the convention center<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Registration opens<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check-in at the Contributor Day desk. Get your name tag and team-table assignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Doors open, coffee starts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Settle in at your team&#039;s table. Meet your facilitators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Opening remarks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Welcome from the Community squad. Day-of logistics, how teams work, where to find help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4: Morning work block<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Teams start working. New contributors get onboarded. Facilitators help you find your first contribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 5: Group photo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everyone outside (or in the lobby if too hot). The shot every WordCamp Contributor Day takes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 6: Lunch<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Catered lunch. Sit with your team or mix with another \u2014 lunch is the best networking window of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 7: Afternoon work block<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Teams resume.
